Spring Pastel

(F21 Top 1 & 2, Uniqlo Pants 1 & 2, Moccasins 1 & 2, Rebecca Minkoff Bag 1 & 2, MJ Watch 1 & 2

Just another beautiful day in NYC, enjoying the weather with some light colors. Finally slowly (but yet) putting away the dark colors in the winter storage. I love colors and summer is a great way to play with them. White simply matches everything and repels from the sun =) Simple, casual, and cute.

No. 9

(H&M Top 1 & 2 + Jacket 1 & 2, F21 Skirt 1 & 2, American Appeal Tights, F21 Booties 1 & 2, MJ Watch 1 & 2, TC Charton Sunglassses)

When in doubt, go for black! You can't go wrong with black, seriously...BUT...that doesn't mean you have to be boring. Mixing different fabric of black can give your whole outfit a different feel. I paired a layback loose top with a fitted faux leather skirt and a waterfall blazer. This type of blazer can be tricky because the sides are not defined so it falls on the sides. It's great because you can wear it formally or casually. Although the sun is shining brightly, it was still a bit chilly. I wore a pair of booties to keep it at a minimal look.

Strips + Whites

(Zara Top 1 & 2, Gap Jeans 1 & 2, Roche Run 1 & 2, MJ Watch 1 & 2, LV Bag 1 & 2)

Sunny LA all day, everyday. You can get spoiled with the weather here, definitely! Casual and comfy is my motto. I am in love with these roche run that I recently purchased, they are one of the most comfortable sneakers I've ever worn. It feels like walking on clouds and it's kind of preventing me from wearing flats because there's no support. There's a huge difference, I wasn't too big on sneakers but now I'm definitely addicted.

Four Leaf Clover

(Banana Republic Blouse 1 & 2, Gap Denim Jacket 1 & 2, H&M Trousers 1 & 2, Moccasins Flats 1 & 2)

Beautiful days in the spring just makes everyone happy. Honestly I think weather affects people's moods tremendously. Whenever it's nice and sunny out I take out my white clothes, although wearing white pants in NYC can be very tricky. As we all know the subways are not exactly your best friend. I try to be careful, very careful. I paired it with a light blue blouse and a denim jacket because it can be quite chilly in the morning and evening. Spring weather can be dangerous because people think that it's warm out and leave their jackets at home but that's when you catch a cold! Remember it's not yet summer.

Sweet Surrender

(Express top 1 & 2, Banana Republic cardigan 1 & 2, Gap denim 1 & 2, Michael Kors Sandals 1 & 2, LV bag, TC Charton sunglasses)

I'm feeling all bright colors today. This express top is by far my favorite summer piece. The color is super vibrant and the material is light and flowy. Window shopping on third street promenade is never just window shopping especially since they built a whole outdoor shopping mall at one of the ends. Reminds me much of Century City, upscale and classy but still very different. Originally I was wearing plain black flip flops but once I saw these nude bow sandals at Michael Kors, I fell in love with it instantly. Yes, we fall in love with shoes all the time, don't we. It was literally calling my name. Haha...

Rows of Lights

(F21 dress 1 & 2, Coach sandals 1 & 2, Michael Kors watch 1 & 2, LV bag 1 & 2, TC Charton sunglasses)

How can you visit LA without going to LACMA, it is definitely a must-go museum, similar to the must-go Metropolitan museum in NYC. They are both unbelievably beautiful, not only the paintings and artifacts inside the museum but also the plaza and architecture is a work of art. I love visiting museums because it makes me appreciate history more, reading textbooks in class isn't the same as a field trip! I always get inspired after a tour, there are so many talented and amazing stories in the past, there are so many things to be learned from our ancestors.

Yes, I know these rows of lights are such a cliche location for photos but come on, how can you not?

On The Road

(Necessary Clothing- faux leather jacket 1 & 2, Uniqlo denim shirt 1 & 2, H&M crop top 1 & 2, JKim New York leggings, Nike Free Run, TC Charton sunglasses)

Isn't layering fun? I love layering because it helps you stay warm on a chilly day and still look cool at the same time. Although winter time I'm definitely bundled up in a heavy coat. Spring is all about layering, the weather is slowly becoming nicer but there are also lots of gloomy and rainy days, like this one. I almost left without a jacket and realized the sun was hiding from us, haha, oh mr. sun, where thou go? But anyways, layering just the right amount is important because it will still show what you have on without needing to show the whole garment. As for my leggings and running shoes, you probably guessed that I went to the gym after. I'm just too lazy to pack and change my stuff >_< hehe.

Spring Awakening

(H&M Blazer 1 & 2 + pants 1 & 2, Uniqlo top, Gap oxfords 1 & 2, Prada tote, TC Charton sunglasses)

Simplicity is the key. Fashion is not only mixing patterns and designs but also color blocking and playing around with solids and patterns. With a patterned pants, it's easier to go with solid tops so there isn't too much distractions for the eye. A white blazer can pretty much make anything look more formal and chic. I personally love wearing black but white looks just as amazing especially in the summer!
